The clients at Mill Lane wanted to reconfigure their downstairs living area from three separate rooms into one open living space which would be perfect for entertaining, incorporating the kitchen, dining table and informal seating, whilst also inviting the outside in.

Their dream kitchen was in a modern country style, incorporating a sage green and a neutral. The orientation was key to maximise the view into the garden. I proposed some layout options and worked with the kitchen supplier to create both optimal storage and spacious. We decided on the use of open shelving rather than wall units to give a modern uncluttered look that did not distract the eye from the gorgeous picture window, that is an immediate conversation starter on entering the room.

The clients had some beautiful Mid-Century Modern style furniture which effortlessly made the new space look both fresh and modern, classic and stylish.
