For this two part project, the client wanted to reconfigure the first floor layout to add a new ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom and then update the family bathroom.
part one
The clients bedroom was large with under utilised space, and by adjusting the positioning of the walls between the three bedrooms room a deceptively spacious ensuite could be created. I worked with the client to design a sleek, simple and calm room with a hotel bathroom vibe by using stone effect tiles, a gorgeous wall hung vanity and a huge mirror. A private space so the teenagers didn't risk seeing dad in his underwear!

part two
The update of the family bathroom was designed to suit the clients two daughters, aged 7 and 12, as well as for use by guests. The clients disliked the lack of space, lack of storage and the unattractive, dated decor. They wanted an appealing, functional space, that was easy to clean and had some personal touches and colour pops. I worked with the client on the full design of this space and proposed a pale grey suite with dark grey walls and narrow white tiles in a vertical pattern to modernise the look. We also opted for black tap ware for a clean, sharp contrast.
By removing bulky boxings and changing the separate shower enclosure for a shower over the bath we could easily create more space and allowed the layout of the room to be reconfigured to allow a run of fitted units with plenty of storage. I proposed double sinks so the girls had one each (more personal space and less arguments) and they loved this. Pink pops of colour in the accessories and pictures add a touch of fun.
